Armed cops were forced to protect a crash site today after a lorry believed to be carrying more than £1 MILLION in cash spilled its load.
Officers carrying powerful rifles surrounded the Loomis vehicle after crates carrying coins littered the road in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Passers-by and fellow motorists claimed to have seen the lorry brake hard as it approached a roundabout in Mead Way at around 1.30pm.
As it did this, trollies laden with coins believed to be worth thousands crashed through the front of its trailer.
Haul: More than £1 million was knocked out of the lorry
