One-On-One With Bashford Jewelry: The Right Source For Conflict Free Diamonds

Over time, there have been concerns about diamonds sourced from conflict zones and sold to unsuspecting customers, which were then tagged; “Blood Diamonds”

However in the light of these atrocities, arose a company with distinction, which prides itself with sourcing, producing and marketing of conflict-free diamonds; in other words, when you buy from them, you are satisfied fully aware that there is no blood on your fingers, around your neck or wrists.

Their diamonds are ethically sourced and Eco-friendly. Naija Chit-Chat had a One-On-One with a representative for this heart-warming interview.

May we know you?
Bashford Jewelry is proud and dedicated to socially conscious and eco-friendly fine jewelry.

What would you like our readers to know about you and your company?
Our Mission is to create beautiful one of a kind jewelry using ethical labor and environmentally responsible sourcing. We use only conflict free diamonds and research all our diamonds origins, to protect the environment and improve livelihoods.

It is interesting to note that your company only deal with conflict-free diamonds, how did you arrive at this decision?
We wanted to create awareness on ethical, responsible sourcing, and also to make a difference.

Are your raw diamonds from the African market only?
No, our diamonds come from Canada, Botswana and Russia.

Please tell our readers why your diamonds are different in quality from others.
Our Canadian diamonds originate from the Diavik and Ekati mines, which meet rigorous environmental standards and are held strictly accountable to independent environmental monitoring agencies. Our Russian diamonds from the Yakutia region of northeast Siberia provide thousands of jobs to local residents and are free from human rights abuses. Botswana diamonds provide local employees with fair wages and safe working conditions.

Cost-wise, how are the jewelries you carry different from others?
Our Jewelry line consist of affordable engagement rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, body jewelry, and men's jewelry, at price points ranging from $65 to well over $30,000. The collection consists of timeless and elegant pieces professionally crafted Recycled metals like gold, platinum, sterling silver, and palladium.

It is so amazing that Bashford Jewelry gives back to the community/charities, what are those charities you are supporting?
Salvation Army Rehabilitation, A21 Campaign, Polaris Project and ROWW.

It was a pleasure chit-chatting with you.
The pleasure is ours
