The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) who allegedly raped a female suspect, is presently being detained at the cell of the Area ‘F’ police Command in Lagos, sunnewsonline.com can authoritatively report
The Lagos state Police Command said contrary to reports, the alleged randy DPO in charge of Onikan Police Station, in the Onikan area of Lagos who was identified as Adekunle Awe, is still behind bars and explaining to the authorities of the force what he knows about the matter.
The Lagos state Police Spokes person, Ngozi Braide said the reports that he was released was false, adding that, “The DPO is still in our detention facility in Area ‘F’. He is in Area F cell as I am talking to you. It is not possible to release of a man with such magnitude of allegation hanging on him”
Braide continued that the Police High Command has set up investigating panel and the recommendation of the Police was for the panel to investigate the allegation.
She argued that the DPO would not have been released when the panel has just commenced investigation “He is not released.
It would be recalled that a female suspect had allegedly accused the DPO in-charge of Onikan police station of raping her in his office.
